- Photo report: Torrential rains flood Chengdu and Sichuan
  By my place, the water rushing out of the sewers knocked all the manhole covers off. These drivers trying to get through close to waist height water would get their front tire stuck in the sewer holes. Someone would help them get out, they would drive on and the next person in line would fall into the hole. Even with us yelling and waving our arms to them, they still drove right up.

  I'm wondering if anyone has had the experience of taking a cat out of China. We are planning on taking our cat back to the US, and it would be helpful if we could talk with someone who has gone through the process.

  I do the commute from the city (I live on 2nd ring and Wangjianglu) to Wenjiang once a week. Just a heads up, during the weekdays, they close the main road from Wenjiang into Chengdu from 5:45pm to 6:30pm. The traffic congests quite a bit, but seems to move ok once they open it back up.
