@ andrewp: I understand your frustration, but 1 month is nothing really... people come to China in a search of a qualified Master and after 1-2 years many leave disappointed. As you noticed, here it' s not like walking into a Martial arts center in the US or Europe, however there' s a notion of "yuanfen" – a special connection, luck, predestined meeting, hope you' re getting an idea. Few resources are fully googleable. Also check out chengduliving.com forum, there' s a thread or two on that, might be just what you' re after. It really depends what you're specifically looking for, your background and as pointed out by Invisible, commitment. I might have couple of references, but again, it depends... Do check out that forum. Good luck!

@ Ha-ha, Donna pardon me for asking, and what are these clinical studies that claim yoga to be "more influential than Tai Qi or Qigong for the mind and body" hmmm... a very bold statement, do refer me to some reliable sources for further reading (hope it' s not something you've read in a womens magazine). Isn't it pathetic how young Chinese disregard the centuries of wisdom in favor of some trendy stuff (Indian or whatever). Saying that, indeed yoga also holds a strong potential if understood and practiced properly, mind you I'm not talking about superficial understanding of yoga, qigong, etc, as of "relaxing and aerobic exercises" LOL

The Tazishan park latern display was fun, we had good time although I wasn't expecting much after the Wuhou ci one. But soooo crowded. 25 rmb, students half price.
