Invisible... fully agree mate. Me and my family have been suffering from this pollution with coghs, sore throats and red eyes. I also had breathing issues and had to use my ventolin inhaler for the first time in around 6 years!!! A number of my wifes customers have children and 3 of them have been admitted to hospital with respiratory problems. Lets hope all this smog and dirt can disappear asap as its clearly not healthy and doesnt start my day well when I open the curtains and I can only see 20 metres ahead due to the s"@t in the air!

Chengdu at times is the dirtiest and most polluted city in China. Just depends when you look at the statistics. I think the report about Chengdu being number 9 is very very generous and seems there are very little numbers and facts to back up why its number 9. I would put Chengdu in the top 5 and not just in China but..... in the world based on the statistics below

I just think its retarded. I am English and during the riots in my country I was apalled and ashamed to be English. These people that are burning and attacking both multi national companies and shops are just small minded, idiotic hooligans. They are putting their own people out of jobs, losing a families income due to plants closing such as Canon and Toyota. They are making International companies think twice about investing in China and therefore losing the country money. They are attacking their own countrymans possessions such as cars, shops and cameras and for me this is just weird, bizarre, f@ked up and needs to stop.

Hey guys,
Has anyone got any idea if and when the high speed train will be up and running again? I cant seem to find any info on the website or Internet. My parents are visiting in October and would prefer to take the train. I wondered whether I should hold off on buying the plane tickets and wait to see if the train will be up and running then.
Any info would be much appreciated!

Hi,
I did my medical just a couple of weeks ago. It was a really straight forward process. You must take 2 passport photos with you along with your passport and also the fee which is 411rmb. You can pay a little more if you need the certificate earlier. I was prepared to wait a couple of days to go back and collect it. I went to the hospital in Tongzilin. Its on 1 tongzilin north road and the whole process took me around 40 minutes. There are 7 tests and I cant recall all of them. The doctors at this hospital can speak English so its quite comforting to know whats going on and where you have to go. Hope that helps.
