    haahaha really awesome info...I'm more of the I eat everything kinda guy and weirdly enough I've tried a lot of the dishes you mentioned...cafe z is the one downstairs of shangri-la right? I've eaten there countless times and I would always go for the indian buffet but now they made it more expensive :(

Terrance (my other housemate) is from the states, working in business marketing, he owns a teaching center and is also a DJ here in Chengdu. We found an apartment in Jiu Yan Qiao, it is huge with a beautiful balcony over looking the river it has a swimming pool, huge garden and a lot of space, the apartment is on the 17th floor and the view is breath taking. The room for rent would be only 900 per month. Our apartment has 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, living, dinning and laundry room, balcony and spacious kitchen with an oven.

    My name is Sadeq and I am looking for an apartment with a roof top and a spacious area to practice my mixing as I am a dj...the current apartment I live in is not sound proof and whenever I play even during the day the security cut off my electricity :(

    I want an apartment 2 or 3 maybe even 4 bedrooms or a villa if possible for less than 5000rmb if it has 4 bedrooms

    For that price I want something good so please don't contact if you have a simple apartment :)

    just be careful because they may use halal chicken but they still fry it in the same oil they fry other meat in...as long as the restaurant isn't fully halal, they can not really guarantee halal food

    I had no idea about those things but I'm glad 99% of the time, I cook my own food :) I knew there was something wrong with the pricing here, because it costs more to cook in than to eat out at those chinese restaurants..thanks for the info

    thanks for the info, to add..if you want fresh halal beef, lamb or their organs (liver heart) right by Sultan restaurant there is a butcher shop that is halal..question to Cleopatra, dicos serves only halal Chicken burgers or everything? I mean the chicken wings and the drumsticks?

    I never use rice cooker either and the trick of preparing good rice is to put very little oil, fry a bit of onions and soak the rice until it is very white then put it in the pot and putting water to cover about 1-2cm on medium heat till the water reach the surface of the rice then put it on low heat until it is done..hope that helps

    Sam is what makes Safari so special..never Have I met a restaurant owner who is so engaging with his customers...the food is really good and all the dips and side dishes I tried were sooo much better than any I had in china, and the hookah is brilliant so basically it is a restaurant that you just have to go to and Sam is a person you have to meet
