    • Used to be one of my favorite cafés in Chengdu and I'm occassionally still going there to enjoy the absolutely amazing coffee. Too much downtime and pricey dishes (still very good tasting though) have made me visit less frequently. Overall a very nice little place but I wish they could keep open more often.

    • I'm a big fan of this place.

Clean and comfortable atmosphere, really warm and welcoming servers/owners, fast internet, iced coffee with ice cubes made from coffee!, cheap/delicious sandwiches, no smoking inside.

The coffee and salami sandwich cured my hangover in no time, not to mention I downloaded all of that show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Child" in like 20 minutes.

    • Forgot to mention....while waiting for the pug to open at 5 pm we were stopped in to Kafestuggan for a coffee. Awesome. Iced coffee could not be better...rich, not watered down and addictive. Cool little coffee cubes. We did not try the food...yet...but will be back!

    • This place is pretty great. Calm environment (even with all the craziness going on outside!), and incredible service. Also, they are really knowledgeable about their coffee, and have a good selection. Recommended!!

    • Have not come here in a while, but JEEZZZ! HOW DID I FORGET!?! This place is AWESOME, DELICIOUS, AMAZING!

Comfortable environment with great service and even better food. One of the top western options in Chengdu.

Sandwiches, Sweedish dishes, i want to order them all (and often order three things to split with two people). It just gets better and better!

Ooooo yeah and the coffee... well if you think the foods good, you got another thing coming once you try their coffee. Could be the Best Coffee In The City.

Thank you Kaffestugan, for taking me on an hour long vacation to The West, with only a 15min cab ride.

    • Nice Swedish cafe with plenty of good dishes and drinks. The hand dripped coffee is superb. The dishes might look small but are actually quite filling. Go for the sandwiches, they are really good. The owners are as friendly as anyone could be.

If it wasn't for all that recent downtime then i would give this place 5 stars for sure.

    • THE ICE IN THE ICED COFFEE IS MADE WITH...COFFEE!!! i have died and gone to coffee heaven...when i was there yesterday, one of the owners noticed me happily crunching away on the iced coffee balls (NOT cubes! perfect spheres of coffee goodness!) and brought me a tiny ramekin of honey and a spoon and said, "you know, if you eat them with a spoonful of honey, it's a treat". yummy yummy yummy yummy...have been a fan for ages, but didn't know about the ice. they really leave nothing to chance. pure class. long live kaffe stugan!!! 百分之五百巴适的很!!!

    • I went to this place first time this week, I was a bit disappointed after reading the many good comments about it. The coffee and pastry selection is excellent, prices are affordable and the staff is extremely kind (quite rare in Chengdu). However, I found the place to be too small and somehow without atmosphere. For me a cafe should be a place where I feel good to spend a few hours reading or browsing internet and this was not the case here. Somehow the place is too small. It's impossible to conduct a conversation without being heard by everybody around or reading something without being disturbed by the next tables' conversation.

    • After two years of hearing great things, and occasionally turning up only to find the place closed*, I finally spent a morning there this week. Such a good experience I came back with family and friends at the weekend and could easily see myself slipping into what appears to be a large crowd of regular customers.

Quite possibly the best coffee in Chengdu, great food, caring owners, friendly staff and very reasonable prices for the quality of food and drink on offer. A huge selection of single malts as well which I will definitely be finding an excuse to come back for.

      * In fact I arrived this time only to find the place still closed and — despite there being nearly an hour to go before opening time — was invited in anyway and offered a drink while I waited!

    • The bathrooms are clean. (I don't know about you, but I judge a place by how clean their bathrooms are, yea, I know you do too.)

The potato salad is just like the kind my mom makes.

      The deserts are scrumptious..

Service is good and the staff is friendly.

Great place to hang out with friends or get away for a few hours.

The free glass of tea they serve is delicious too.

    • Want good coffee and pastry? Stop spending your money at Starbucks and try this place!

You'll walk away having spent less and not complaining about watered down flavorless coffee.

They have coffee from around the world, as well as a nice selection of pastry and sandwiches.

      Plus, 10th drink is free

    • Best coffe in Chengdu!

By far my favourite cafe in Chengdu. Delicious swedish food and superb coffe. The people working there are super-friendly and always in a good mood. It's a quiet and clean place, perfect when you need to escape from the busy city life. I can't complain about the prices either, most western cafe's tend to have higher prices.

    • The iced coffee saved me (nice liquid brown sugar that they serve on the side)!!

There's a few blends to choose from and the owners are so sweet.

Plus you get a little cookie with each coffee and there's good little sandwiches, teas, coffees, cookie platters, waffles, and more to choose from.

It's a little spendy (maybe 30-40 kuai if you get a coffee plus some little pastry or a sandwich), but it's worth it!

I am a smoker, but it's actually nice that you can't smoke inside (before 8pm!).
