Sichuan: home to more than 25,000 millionaires

The number of millionaires in China surpassed 1.02 million by the end of last year, meaning that one out of every 1,300 Chinese citizens is a millionaire, according to the latest Hurun wealth-index report . That number is up 64,260 from the year before. The country's billionaires now number 63,500, an increase of 3,683 people.
Sichuan province accounts for 25,500 Chinese nationals whose worth totals over RMB1 million, behind eight other provinces that each have more millionaires. That figure is an increase of 1,500 compared to the previous year. The city of Chengdu alone is home to 15,000 millionaires and 850 billionaires.
The region with the highest concentration of wealthy people is Beijing, followed closely by Guangdong and Shanghai.
Additionally, 28 percent of the wealthy surveyed said they are "confident" about China's economy over the next two years.
